Small Flex Feeder Brings Increased Versatility
The Ridgeback 612 flex feeder brings major automation functionality in a small package. As a small flex feeder, it excels as a flexible solution in a manufacturing environment. It handles an expanded part range (in terms of shape) while having a small footprint and seamlessly fitting into tight floor plans. Like all our flex feeders, the 612 brings standard features alongside the proper presentation of parts for vision-guided robot applications:
- No expensive 3D robot guided vision required
- No programming required
- Eliminates manual feeding while allowing fast changeovers
- Smooth and quiet part handling
- Part separation and manipulation for robot pick efficiency
Overview
As a small flex feeder, the Ridgeback 612 features a vibratory recirculation table area of 6 inches by 12 inches picking zone. As parts move across the zone, the vibrating component turns off, the vision system identifies a ‘pickable’ part and sends a signal to the robot to pick the part.
As the smallest flex feeder we offer, the Ridgeback 612 is designed as a table-top component but can easily be mounted to a stand or pedestal. The custom designed controls are easy to implement and can be up and running a wide variety of parts in just seconds.
Like our entire Ridgeback line, the 612 had many options to further streamline operation and production. Consulting with our automation experts and engineering team can help you identify what best fits your specific application.
